Cookies
What we store on your device
Analytics and error monitoring, nothing else. No advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.
The short version
This site sets a small number of cookies so we can see which pages are read and find out when something breaks. There are no advertising cookies, no remarketing pixels, and nothing that follows you to other websites.
That is also why you are not being asked to dismiss a consent wall to read this page.
What gets set
- Analytics (PostHog)
- A first-party identifier so repeat visits within a session are counted once rather than as separate people, plus the pages viewed. Typically expires after twelve months.
- Error monitoring (Sentry)
- A short-lived session identifier, so that if the site breaks we can see the sequence of events that led to it. Expires when the session ends.
- Strictly necessary
- Where you submit a form, a temporary token may be set to protect against cross-site request forgery. These are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off.
What is not set
- No advertising or remarketing cookies.
- No cross-site tracking, and no data sold or passed to ad networks.
- No social media tracking pixels.
- Nothing at all inside a pod. Pods are not connected to this website.
Turning it off
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking analytics cookies will not stop you using any part of this site.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat that as an objection to analytics and act accordingly.
You can also write to us and ask us to exclude you, and we will.
Lawful basis
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 we rely on legitimate interest for analytics and error monitoring: understanding which pages are useful, and finding faults, without building profiles or advertising to anyone.
If we ever add advertising or remarketing, we will ask for consent first and this page will change before it happens.
